Using remote support on Microsoft Teams

Launch Microsoft Teams.

Start a new meeting or join an existing one.

Share Your Screen

Once in the meeting, click the 'Share' icon, usually represented by a square with an upward arrow.Select what you want to share: your entire screen, a specific window, or a PowerPoint presentation.

Give Control

Once you're sharing your screen, a toolbar will be at the top. Find the 'Give control' option on that toolbar. Click 'Give control' to see a list of participants. You can select a specific participant to give them control of your screen.

Taking Back Control

If you want to take back control of your screen, move your mouse or tap your keyboard. This will automatically revoke the control of the other person. Alternatively, click the 'Take back control' option in the toolbar.

End the Screen Sharing Session:

When you're done with the remote support, go to the toolbar at the top and click on the 'Stop sharing' button.

Safety and Privacy

Only give control to trusted individuals. Ensure you're not sharing sensitive or private information during the session. Keep your software updated to the latest version to benefit from security patches and improvements.
